Bad light restricts start of J&K-K’taka Ranji Trophy quarters at Jammu

Jammu: A spell of showers and bad light did not allow to take off opening day of five day quarter final between Jammu and Kashmir and Karnataka Ranji Trophy match here at GGM Science College Hostel grounds on Thursday.
The weather in Jammu remained cloudy with brief spell of showers and a mist.
“The match could not start on the first day and the final call from the match referee is yet awaited,” the JKCA official here said.
He said that chance of starting the play were very dim.
J&K created history after 2012 by making it into quarter final.
JKCA CEO Ashiq Bukhari was quite hopeful of J&K scripting new chapter in the cricket in ongoing domestic cricket season.
