Art 370 abrogated to benefit the deprived at doorsteps: Jitendra

Jammu: Asserting that people need to liberate their minds from Articles 370 and 35A, Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday said that the Articles were abrogated to benefit the needy, at their doorsteps.
“We have to understand and as I have already said, Article 370 is gone and has gone forever,” Dr Singh said, while addressing the gathering, after inaugurating the two-day event on ‘Bamboos,’ organised by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNEAR), along with the Social Forestry department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
”All Central laws have become applicable in J&K, soon after October 31, when the creation of the Union Territory came into existence. Notifications will be issued one after another.
“Article 370 was abrogated to bring benefits to the people, who remained deprived, at their doorsteps,” he added.
The Union Minister further said that after decades, the Block Development Council elections were held and soon, the District Development Council elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir.
Many bottle necks have been removed, post Article 370 abrogation, especially in the past three months.
