Srinagar: Around 41.94 per cent votes were polled in 34 constituencies till 1300 hrs on Monday during the fourth phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections in Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said this afternoon.
He said 17 constituencies in Kashmir division recorded 25.54 per cent while Jammu division witnessed 59.38 per cent polling in 17 seats till 1300 hrs.
Bandipora in north Kashmir recorded highest 44.82 per cent polling while lowest 1.76 per cent polling was witnessed in Shopian in south Kashmir, he said.
He said as per polling percentage available till 1300 hrs in Kashmir Division, Kupwara has recorded voting percentage of 28.77 per cent, Bandipora 44.82 per cent, Baramulla 37.40 per cent, Ganderbal 43.45 per cent, Budgam 36.36 per cent, Pulwama 5.66 per cent, Shopian 1.76 per cent, Kulgam 6.59 per cent and Anantnag 23.63 per cent.
Similarly, in Jammu division, Kishtwar has recorded voting percentage of 59.29 per cent, Doda 67.86 per cent, Udhampur 48.24 per cent, Ramban 61.50 per cent, Reasi 49.30 per cent, Kathua 54.23 per cent, Samba 59.64 per cent, Jammu 62.71 per cent, Rajouri 65.49 per cent and Poonch 59.15 per cent till 1300 hrs.
