Army Pays Tribute To Two Soldiers Martyred In Kupwara

Army on today paid rich tributes to two soldiers martyred in Pakistani firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

On behalf of the Chinar Corps Commander, Maj Gen GS Kahlon, Chief of Staff, Chinar Corps and all ranks, paid homage to the slain soldiers, in a solemn ceremony at BB Cantt, said a spokesman.

In a show of solidarity, representatives from other security agencies also paid their last respects to the slain. “Late Subedar Gamar Bahadur Thapa and Subedar Raman Thapa sustained bullet injuries during unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Keran sector of Kupwara district,” said the spokesman.” They were provided immediate first aid and were evacuated to 92 Base Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.”
