Administration working on directions of ‘one political party’: Manjit Singh

Roads, electricity, water issues remain unresolved
JAMMU: Working on directions of a particular political party, Apni Party Provincial President and Former Minister Manjit Singh on Sunday alleged that the administration has forgotten the common man leading to underdevelopment and poor road connectivity in Purkhoo, Doman.
“Underdeveloped localities are the glaring example of official negligence of the people who are left to the mercy of God. The lanes and drains are poorly left by the administration,” Manjit Singh.
Manjit Singh was appraised about the lack of basic amenities in Purkhoo and other adjoining areas of Jammu district by the locals and Panchayat members.
The people said that their concerns are not taken into consideration by the administration and prefers working for the welfare of the people affiliated with a ‘single political party’.
On hearing their concerns, Manjit Singh said that the administration should work for all the people and there should not be discrimination on the ground that they do not belong to a particular political party.
“We strongly oppose the attitude of the administration and appeal to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha for his intervention. The people are being discriminated against and the localities where the voters of a party do not live are being neglected with respect to the developmental activities,” alleged Manjit Singh.
He said that the administration should ensure proper road connectivity, electricity and clean drinking water to the people and all other basic amenities which are essential for the people to live.’
Speaking on the occasion, UT Coordinator of Schedule Caste, Bodh Raj Bhagat said that the Schedule Caste areas and other neglected sections of the society and face the official negligence.
“Apni Party has commitment towards the welfare of the Schedule Caste, Other Backward Caste, Schedule Tribe and other deprived communities. There is no discrimination among the people on the name of caste, creed, colour, region or religion in our Party. We are one in and work for the unity of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Bhagat.
