In Gujarat, a marriage was held without “bride” in Champlanar village near Himmatnagar.
Ajay Barot, a 27-year-old with a learning disability, had dreamed of this day.
According to his father, “My son was diagnosed with learning disability and lost his mother at an early age. He used to enjoy the wedding procession of other people and asked us about his wedding. We were unable to answer his question as it was not possible to find a match for him,”.
A grand wedding procession was held after the groom sat on a horse.
Near about 200 people, who were part of the procession, danced to the tune of native Gujarati music and drum beats.
The only thing that was missing in the marriage ceremony was bride.
