According to the recent notification released on the official website of IIT Roorkee, 224000 candidates are going to appear for IIT JEE Advanced on May 19, 2019. The exam is conducted nationwide for admission to several top engineering colleges in the country like the IITs, NITs, and CFTIs etc. The examination is conducted by any one of the seven zonal-IITs every year and admission is granted to selected candidates under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board.
The application form of JEE Advanced 2019 is expected to be released online on the first week of May. Candidates who have cleared JEE Main 2018 and ranks among the top 224000 candidates can apply for JEE Advanced 2019. According to the official notification, the result for JEE Main 2019 will be announced by April 30, 2019.
JEE Advanced 2019 will be a computer-based and will be held in two sessions – morning and afternoon. It will comprise of two papers of duration 3 hours each. Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM, and Paper 2 will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM. The questions will be on the subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates are allowed two consecutive attempts for JEE Advanced 2019, and there is no fixed examination pattern for the test. The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will be conducted after the JEE Advanced Test. The cut off for JEE Advanced 2019 is expected to be released after the declaration of ranks.

Although, all dates for JEE Advanced 2019 are yet to be declared officially, here we have presented the tentative dates and schedules for the examination. Students should visit the official website for the proper dates and schedules once they are declared.

JEE Advanced 2019 Eligibility
Candidates can view the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2019 from the official site https://jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates can view the official dates and syllabus and other examination related information on the same website. The eligibility criteria to appear for the exam are as follows –
Candidates who are appeared in 10+2 examination or equivalent in in 2018 or appearing in 2019 can apply for JEE Advanced. The maximum age limit for general candidates is 26 years and for SC/ST candidates is 31 years. However, following the recent Supreme Court verdict this year, the age criteria may be removed by examination authorities. NRI candidates can also apply for JEE Advanced 2019 and allowed supernumerary seats which will be 10% of the total number of seats.
Candidates whose admission to an IIT has been cancelled after joining or who had previously occupied a seat at an IIT are not eligible to apply for JEE Advanced. Candidates who have joined preparatory courses at any of the IITs/paid acceptance fee but did not accept seat previously in an IIT are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2019, considering they fulfil other criteria.
All candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2019 should rank among the 224000 candidates in JEE Main.
JEE Advanced allows 27% reservation for OBC-NCL candidates, 15% for SC candidates and 7.5% for ST candidates. The reservation for PWD candidates will be 5%. The supernumerary seats for female candidates have been increased from 8% to 14%. Total number of seats available in the 23 IITs and IISC Bangalore for JEE Advanced 2019 candidates is 10,988. The application fee for JEE Advanced 2019 for General candidates will be INR 2600, and no GST will be charged on the same.
