Secretary Cooperative interacts with PRIs and locals, discusses issues of public interest

RAMBAN : Secretary Cooperative, Yasha Mudgal, today visit- ed in her assigned Panchayat Kunfer in block Ramban as Visiting Officer under ongoing ambitious “Back to Village” Phase- IV programme to assess the status of developmental process and implementation of beneficiary oriented schemes as well as needs of the Panchayat.
The Secretary Cooperative interacted with representatives of PRs and locals at Panchayat Ghar to take stock of their issues pertaining to welfare and development of their respective areas.
She listened to the issues raised by the participants during Ghram Sabha including augmentation of water supply scheme, up- gradation of high School upto Higher Secondary School at Chanderkote, posting of more doctors and paramedical staff in NTPHC Chanderkote,
establishment of Shopping Complex, Ambulance, and construction of overhead bridges etc.
Meanwhile, the District D e v e l o p m e n t Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam briefed the Secretary about initiatives taken by the District Administration in coordina- tion with concerned officers to resolve all the issues of public interest pertaining to their respective depart- ments.
The DDC said that 108 Ambulance Service is actively functioning in the district and the issue regard- ing shortage of staff in health institutions has already been taken up with the concerned authorities.
The Secretary also inspected healthcare facili- ties available in NTPHC Chanderkote, progress on construction work of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya building and functioning of Khidmat Centre. She directed the executing agency to com-
plete the execution of build- ing work. She directed the Deputy Registrar Cooperative to intensify awareness drives to sensi- tize the people about schemes of Cooperative sectors.
Interacting with the peo- ple, outlined the signifi-
cance of the ‘Back to Village’ Programme, the Secretary said that the main motive behind launching this Government- people interface programme is to ensure that not even a single person is deprived of the benefit of development schemes. She emphasized
upon the people to ensure their proactive engagement with the district administra- tion in taking the develop- ment profile of the district to top.
The Secretary also directed the departments to achieve the targets of deliv- erables to saturate the schemes of their respective departments. She said that the government is providing a big opportunity to each and every individual to raise their issues more freely at their doorsteps during the ongoing Outreach Programme across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
Yasha Mudgal took feed- back from the general pub- lic about implementation of welfare schemes as well developmental activities being executed in their respective areas. She lauded
the District Administration for achieving tangible results in the development sector. The Secretary also distributed sports kits, Baby kits & Poshan kits under BBBP, land pass- books and sanction letters worth of Lakhs under PMEGP and other schemes through J&K Bank among the beneficiaries.
Earlier, the Secretary inspected the stalls set up by the NRLM besides other departments for disseminat- ing information regarding centrally sponsored schemes and other Government programmes.
Later, the Secretary inaugurated a Kabaddi Match at Polytechnic College Chanderkote in which youth from local and surrounding areas partici- pated.
