Jammu, The officials of Punjab National Bank on Friday felicitated the ‘Veer Nari’ by handing over personal accident insurance claim cheque for Rs 50 lakhs.
In a ceremony held here, ‘Veer Nari’ Jatinder Kaur wife of Naik (Late) Jasbir Singh, Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles was honoured by Atul Goel, MD and CEO of Punjab National Bank by paying Personal Accident Insurance Claim cheque for Rs 50 Lakhs.
Jammu based PRO Defence, Col Devender Anand said that the insurance claim was settled through PNB Branch, Arnia, Jammu.
The Jammu and Kashmir Rifles veteran Brig K K Lakhanpal (Retd), the mother and family members of braveheart and his Unit representatives were also present on the occasion.
Atul Goel expressed gratitude to the braveheart for his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in J&K and assured Veer Nari for the support related to bank related matters, he said.
The PRO also said that Punjab National Bank official assured to continue to stand in support of the Armed Forces through various welfare schemes.
As a goodwill gesture, on behalf of JAK Rifles, Brig K K Lakhanpal (Retd) and Col Varun Soni, Commanding Officer of 6 JAK Rifles presented mementoes to Goel and other senior officials of PNB.
