Srinagar: Abdul Rashid alias Reshma, a third gender, who gave Kashmir its most popular wedding anthem “Hai Hai Wesiye” passed away after a brief illness on Sunday in Srinagar.
Rashid, according to sources was admitted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital in Srinagar and breathed his last around midnight.
Rashid Known for his unique Kashmiri song “Hai Hai Wesiye” popularly being sung in every Kashmiri wedding function all across the world went viral on social media years ago and created an identical identity for him.
He was also known for his humbleness and friendly nature. His death has sent shock among his lovers across the Kashmir valley.
