JAMMU : Passion, confidence and family sup- port is instrumental in achieving any life goal, said Aisha Sadiq Choudhary, a tribal (Gujjar) woman from Jammu who brought laurels to the entire Jammu and Kashmir by winning Mrs Supermodel International 2022 contest held at Pink City Jaipur in Rajasthan.
While talking to Greater Jammu, Aisha said, “Modeling and acting fields are not easy tasks for women as compared to the men and it becomes harder for a girl who belongs to the Gujjar community.”
Therefore my journey as model was not a cakewalk as she belonged to a Gujjar community, Aisha added.
“My childhood passion to be a model become reality only after getting a full fami- ly support especially from the in laws infused a strong self confidence in her,” Aisha stated.
Aisha belongs to a tribal community residing in Sidra Jammu. “I am a proud Gujjar woman who originally belongs to Thanmadi area of Rajouri district and my
grandfather respectfully pre- serves the tradition of Gujjar community,” the 25-year-old Aisha stated.
I always wanted to be a
model since my childhood and after many ups and downs in my life, I never gave up my dream, Aisha said. “My real strength is my self confidence which I gained by proving wrong the critics and adversity,” Aisha added. Reacting on the tribal Community belongingness, “The President of India belongs tribal community, so do I and it is a matter of proud for me that I have been
able to change the mindset of people about tribals by opt- ing modeling.”
I am indebted to my fami- ly especially my husband, parents, well-wishers, sup- porters and friends for being so supportive and encourag- ing, instilling strength, faith and confidence in me to suc- ceed even after many hard- ships, Aisha stated.
In her message Aisha appealed to the youth and their parents to remain focused and loyal towards their goal and leave no stone unturned to achieve them.
Aisha has done her schooling from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar fol- lowed by a diploma in Fashion Designing from Okhla Delh.
