Minister of Railways Conducts rear window inspection of New Delhi-Deoband rail section

NEW DELHI : Union Minister for Railways, Communications & Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw con- ducted a rear window inspec- tion of New Delhi-Deoband rail section today. He was accompanied by Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway, Dimpy Garg, DRM/Delhi and Principal Heads of Department of Northern Railway.
During the process of window trailing, Minister enquired and reviewed infor- mation about stations and progressive development works on this section as well as passenger amenities avail- able at stations en-route.
Upon reaching Deoband Railway Station, the Minister of Railways, was briefed and apprised about the progress of various new
development projects at the Station, including three new high level platforms of full length, new station building including development of circulating area, two new loop lines to accommodate passengers including passen- ger platform for under con- struction Deoband-Roorkee New line and construction of a new goods siding for aug- menting freight traffic The Minister of Railways
instructed that the Deoband Railway Station facade should be developed to rep- resent local culture and famous regional tourist spots like Bala Sundari Temple.
The Hon’ble Minister gave the example of Khurda Railway Station vis-à-vis development of Deoband Station’s second entry, full length covering of platforms and easy access circulating area.
