Indian captain Virat Kohli will be shouldering hopes of millions back home when he leads the team out in the upcoming Test series against Australia. Kohli has been in impeccable form across formats with the bat and will be hoping to continue his purple patch in Australia, which is also one of his favourite hunting grounds as he has scored a plethora of runs on Australian soil. Ahead of the opening Test at Adelaide, Kohli had an intense photo shoot and the pictures were shared by both ICC and BCCI.
“The calm before the storm..,” wrote ICC with an image of Kohli posing with his eyes closed. Having conquered bouncy and tricky Australian pitches on India’s last tour of Australia, Kohli looks set to add more feats to his already illustrious tally in the country.
India squared of the current tour of Australia with a loss in the first T20I before being robbed of a chance to equalise and level the series in the second T20I, which was washed away due to rain. India bounced back to win the third T20I as the series ended in a tie with both the teams managing a win a piece.
