Group of 30 persons flagged off for Delhi Darshan Tour by DC Poonch

POONCH : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet on Wednesday flagged off a group of 30 special abled persons for Delhi Darahan Tour, here from DC office Poonch.
CEO Tourism, Dr Mohd Tanveer; DPO, Narinder Mohan Suri; TSWO, Mohd Azam Rather and other officers were present on the occasion.
The tour has been sponsored by the Pritam Trust, an NGO working to pro- vide latest prosthetic aid to PwDs. The group of 30 persons hail from the district of Jammu province i.e; Rajouri, Poonch and Doda.
The group includes 8 girls and 22 male amputees, mainly the victims of militancy, cross border firing and mines. The Deputy Commissioner said that this tour is going to Delhi where the camp will be inaugurated on 11th of November at Ahimsa Bhawan Shanker Road New Delhi by VR Mehta ( Padma Bushan) who is the chief pattern of Jaipur foot.
The DC said that District administration earnestly supports all kind of such good work and also appealed to the public to come forward and help handicapped and poor children. Professor Jagbir Singh, from the Trust told the media persons that all the beneficiaries will be taken around Delhi for Delhi Darshan and camp will conclude on 15th November after the visit of dignitaries as arranged by Delhi based members of the Pritam Trust. Other senior members of Pritam Spritual Trust include Prithpal Singh, Jasbir Kour, Er Rydhyampreet Singh and Muhammad Aslam techni- cian of Trust.
