GDC Mahanpur organises Awareness lecture on ‘National Pollution Control Day’

Govt. Degree College Mahanpur organised an Awareness Lecture on ‘ National pollution control Day’. It is observed annually on December 2 to remember the people who lost their lives during 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy .Worthy Principal of the college, Dr. Sangeeta Sudan highlighted the factors responsible
for various type of pollution.
Extensive Lecture was delivered by Dr. Samvedna Sharma on the topic, “Plastic pollution ” . She breifed
the audience about the
importance of organising awareness lecture in this area. The main aim of the lecture
was to sensitize and aware the students and an interactive session was also conducted where
detailed discussion was held with students and teachers and their queries in the
interactive session were resolved effectively by the resource person. The main aim and objectives of celebrating the National Pollution Prevention Day 2022 in India is to create awareness among people about the judicious use of industries to prevent uncalled-for industrial disasters.
Dr Balvinder Singh also shared his thoughts in this occasion. Prominent
among the staff members who graced the occasion were Prof. Meena Devi , Mr. Sourabh Dutta, Balbinder Singh, Dr. Parshotam Dass, Dr. Neetika
Verma and Miss Naresh Kumari.
