KARGIL : For the first time in the history of Sankoo Suru Valley of Kargil a lower segment caesarean section (elec- tive) operation was con-
ducted successfully at Community Health Center (CHC) Sankoo.
The first elective cae- sarean section was per- formed by Dr. Nasreen Fatima gynaecologist obstetrician, Dr.Abass Ali consultant Anesthetist, Dr.
Amina Khatoon Anaesthetist. Dr. Ahmad Ali Consultant Orthopaedician, Dr.
Anwar Hussain Consultant Paediatrician of District Hospital Kargil, Sajjad Ali Mir Anesthesia Assistant DHK, Syeeda Banoo Senior OT Assistant of DHK, Altaf Hussain and Mohd Safi OT assistant’s of CHC Sankoo under supervision Block Medical officer CHC Sankoo Dr Ghulam Hussain.
An active baby girl was delivered and post opera- tive was uneventful.

at CHC Sankoo. It would be pertinent to mention here that, the operation theatre at CHC Sankoo was made functional in month of 1st July 2022 by Chairman Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad on National Doctor’s Day.
Mohd Hadi attendant of the patient said, that this has come as a huge relief to the affected patients of this area and are all praise for this facilities at CHC Hospital Sankoo.

Dr Nasreen Fatima while talking to media said that since the day of joining she felt the dire need of healthcare espe- cially for the women folk.
