Decks being cleared for execution of Multistory Bus Stand project Ramban

RAMBAN : Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam today toured Ramban town and inspected the preliminary work for the construction of Multistory Bust-stand.
He discussed modalities for temporary shifting of the existing Bus stand to a suitable location to pave the way for construction of the Multistory Bus Stand Project estimated to cost Rs 23 crore. Among others who attended the meeting included President MC, Ramban, Sunita Sumbria; Councillors, ACR, Giasul- Haq; CEO MC, Ramban, Surdarshan Kumar; Dy SP Traffic, Parul Gupta; ARTO, Saminder Singh; Shopkeepers, Vendors and members of transport union and others concerned.
After a threadbare dis- cussion, the DC directed CEO MC, DySP Traffic, ARTO and other stakehold- ers to relocate vendors to suitable places, besides take care of the interests of shopkeepers, transporters and other stakeholders amid the temporary shifting of the Bus Stand at the pro- posed sites near Cafeteria Morh and Kowbagh. Earlier, the President MC, Councillors, Transporters, Shopkeepers and others gave their valu- able suggestions for tempo- rary shifting of the Bus Stand to facilitate the start work on the mega project. They hoped that the Multistory Bus Stand would boost the commer- cial activities in Ramban, besides helping effective regulation of the Buses and other passenger vehicles for the convenience of com- muters. The Deputy Commissioner also listened to the issues of the public and directed the concerned officers to resolve all the genuine issues of public interest on a priority basis. He also directed the CEO MC to ensure the function- ing of streetlights besides installing lights at both ends of Bailey bridge at Maitra.
