RAMNAGAR, DEC 5: In a function organized at Town Hall Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania (Spokesperson, J&K BJP) today felicitated more than 500 newly-elected Sarpanches and Panches hailing from Ramnagar, Chanunta, Parli Dhar and Kulwanta Blocks.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Govt at the Centre is fully committed to the empowerment of common masses and many public welfare schemes are being launched for common man. The government is fully committed towards the welfare and well-being of common people. Revolutionary and unprecedented Central schemes and programmes, which have been launched for the common masses, have struck a direct chord with the common man.
Pathania enumerated numerous welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, which focuses in providing free health insurance cover of five lakh rupees to every enumerated family. He asked the people to come forward and reap benefits of the public oriented welfare programmes.
Pathania said that grass root democracy can flourish only when Panchayats are strengthened. The participation of people in large number in the Panchayat elections exemplifies the fact that they have large expectations from their newly-elected panchayats. He called upon the newly elected Sarpanches and Panches to work in larger interest of the people so that vibrant and meaningful democracy can flourish.
Pathania said that it is first time in the history that weaker sections of the society especially SCs, STs and women have got proper representation in the Panchayats. Each Panchayat will get ample funds for basic development.
He said that Honorarium for Sarpanches and Panches has been announced and these decisions of the Govt will go a long way in completing and strengthening 3-Tier system of Democracy in the state.
The Institution of Panchayats has been empowered in the state with power to collect revenue and large amount of funds are being made available to every panchayat for development.
Pathania said that BJP is committed to “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” which translates in to the equitable development of all the sections of society. Making a veiled attack on opponents, Pathania said that BJP is a cadre based party and not a family owned enterprise which embodies the aspirations and emotions of nation.
