Tata Steel executive shot dead by ex-employee in Faridabad

NEW DELHI, Nov 9:A senior manager with the Tata Steel stockyard was shot dead by a former employee inside the office premises in Faridabad on Friday morning. Police say that the suspect employee has been on the run since the incident and a look out notice has been issued against him.
According to SHO, Mujesar, Ashok Kumar, the incident took place around 1pm at the Hardware Chowk office of the company. Eyewitnesses have told the cops that the victim, Arindam Pal, was resting in his cabin when the suspect, Vishwas Pandey, barged into his room with a pistol and fired five rounds at Singh from point blank range and fled. The other employees who had gathered tried to stop Pandey, but he threatened to shoot them as well.
He managed to run out into the courtyard, threatened the guard and fled. Police say that Pal had died on the spot. His body has been sent to a government hospital for an autopsy.
“We have recovered some CCTV footages which show the suspect and efforts are being made to track him down,” said SHO Ashok Kumar. (Agencies)
