KARGIL, OCT 10: 200 candidates registered themselves with Start-up India in Kargil during a daylong programme organized by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Kargil in collaboration with Start-up India at Degree College Kargil. In line with the Prime Minister’s Start-up India vision, Start-up Jammu and Kashmir Yatra is being organized by Start-up India in collaboration with Start-up Jammu and Kashmir. The yatra will be targeting grass root entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups with an aim of achieving the objectives including Start-up awareness, Incubation offers and other incentives from the resource partners of Start-up India.
During the programme, 8 ideas were pitched up from the candidates, out of which 4 ideas were selected for the grand finale at Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Pampore Srinagar.
Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) is a premier Institute of Entrepreneurship Development in the State with the mandate of fostering entrepreneurial culture. Besides, the Institute has also been designated as the Nodal Agency for Start-up India programmes in the State. The Principal Degree College Kargil was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
