NGFOA demands removal of pay anomaly, risk allowance

GJ REPORT
LEH, SEP 12: The field staff of Forest Division, Leh under the banner of Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association (NGFOA) observed two-day mass casual leave to press the long-pending demands for removal of pay anomaly, grant of two and half days’ extra salary, risk allowance and regularization of consolidated gardeners.
The staff members raised slogans in support of their demands.
Speaking on the occasion, Tsering Tundup, president NGFOA, Leh Forest Division said, “We are on two-day mass casual leave. If our demands are not redressed at the earliest we are going to continue our protests”.
He further said, “The authorities at the helm of affairs are deliberately delaying service matters and promotional avenues of field staff of Forest department. The higher authorities are provoking the employees to choose the path of agitation repeatedly.”
Later, they submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner, Leh and the Divisional Forest Officer, Leh for its further submission to the Office of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and higher authority for redressal their genuine demands without further delay.
