Jail Superintendent among two arrested by NIA from Jammu in HM conspiracy case

JAMMU, AUG 28: The team of NIA today arrested two persons including a Jail Superintendent from Jammu in HM Conspiracy case.
“NIA team this afternoon arrested two accused persons namely Ishaq Palla of Shopian and Feroz Ahmad Lone of Budgam who is currently posted as Deputy Jail Superintendent at District Jail Amphalla prison, Jammu in Case RC-07/2018/NIA/DLI u/s 120B RPC and 13,18 & 18 B of UAP Act,” official spokesman here said.
He said that a case pertains to an attempt by accused persons Suhail Ahmad Bhat and Danish Ghulam Lone, who were arrested earlier, to travel to POK for arms training for waging war against the State.
“They were motivated by Ishaq Palla. At the time of incident, Ishaq Palla was lodged in Central prison Srinagar in a different case and he was instrumental in hatching the conspiracy from Jail,” said the spokesman adding that in this conspiracy, he was actively assisted by Feroze Ahmad Lone, who was posted as Deputy Jail Superintendent Central Jail Srinagar at that time.
“The conspiracy meeting at the central prison Srinagar was held on October 25, 2017 and accused persons were in contact with each other through blackberry messenger during whole of October before they were apprehended by the police on 30 Oct 2017,” he added.
The spokesman said that accused Ishaq Palla has been remanded to 10 days’ NIA custody by the Special NIA court Jammu and other accused Feroz Ahmad Lone will be produced before the Court tomorrow for seeking his custody.
Investigation continues to unearth the larger conspiracy, he added.
