Army assures ailing elderly parents of LeT commander full assistance

PULWAMA, AUG 22: As a goodwill gesture two days ahead of Eid, a team of soldiers of Kakapora based Army camp visited the ailing parents of Lashkar-e-Tayyab (LeT) terrorist commander, Riyaz Ahmed Dar alias Khalid and inquired about their welfare. They also extended a helping hand to them.
“A team of army soldiers went to the house of Khalid to inquire about the welfare of his elderly ailing parents. It was absolutely a goodwill gesture,” well informed sources said Wednesday. Khalid is the only son of his parents and had taken up the arms in 2015.
During the interaction, the army team talked about the problems being faced by the elderly ailing family and assured them of complete help and assistance.
Khalid’s father had suffered a partial paralysis and is under treatment for the same for past one year. Facing constant hardships, the couple has even shifted to a relative’s house four months ago.
The Army team assured the family of full assistance and cooperation. They even told the couple that in case he (Khalid) desired to return to his family and wants to join the mainstream, the arrangements would be accordingly for his return.
