NHPC Director inaugurates PMBJP centre

TANAKPUR, AUG 21: Nikhil Kumar Jain, Director (Personnel), NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company visited the Tanakpur Power Station of NHPC and inaugurated the ‘Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP)’ centre at Tanakpur Power Station Market Complex, Banbasa (Uttarakhand) under the multi-purpose plan of the Government of India. After inaugurating the Janaushadhi centre, Director (Personnel) inspected the medicines available at the centre and appreciated the benefits to the general public through their sale. The establishment of this centre at Tanakpur Power Station under the “‘Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP)’ scheme is a new initiative undertaken by NHPC. NHPC is further planning to open more such centres at their various locations including Uri-I Power Station (Jammu & Kashmir) and Teesta-V Power Station (Sikkim) for the service of the local people. Speaking on the occasion Director (Personnel) praised the contribution being made by NHPC’s Tanakpur Power Station in the field of power generation and appreciated the work of the Power Station’s management. Rais Mian, General Manager, Tanakpur Power Station along with Suresh Kumar Sharma, Chief Engineer (Civil), Amitabh Jha, Chief Engineer (Electrical), various Heads of Departments, other officers and employees were also present on the occasion. During his visit Jain also inspected other sites including the Indo-Nepal Link Road, Tanakpur Barrage and Power House.
