“I am aware of the incident that took place at the residence my father & I share in Bhatindi, Jammu. Details are sketchy at the moment. Initial reports suggest an intruder was able to gain entry through the front door & in to the upper lobby of the house,” he wrote on micro-blogging site.
However, the family and relatives of the deceased staged protest and demanded probe into the matter.
Shouting slogans against the security forces, the family members blamed them for allegedly killing the youth.
They also burnt tyres and blocked road at Chinore in Bantalab area, where the deceased was presently putting up at present.
The relatives condemned the action.
Meanwhile BJP demanded immediate release of CCTV footage of killing of a youth in Dr Abdulla’s residence
“A young boy from Poonch has been killed by the security guard deployed in the residence of Dr Abdullah at Bhatindi and it was alleged that he was travelling in a Black colour Mahindra XUV 500 and broke security barricades and tried to forcibly intrude into the residence of the JKNC President,” BJP Spokesperson Brig Anil Gupta said.
He added that the security personnel deployed in the residence fired upon and killed him.
Brig Gupta said that the family of the deceased is calling it a fake encounter and insists that their son was called by somebody to come to the residence of ex CM.
“The family is demanding that they will not accept the police version till they are shown the CCTV footage,” he said.
Brig Gupta also clarified that as per the friends of the deceased he was not a drug addict, as being alleged by some, but was a regular visitor to gym.
“The cold blooded murder in the residence of a VIP raises many questions. BJP demands an impartial and prompt enquiry into the matter of fake encounter. To set at rest the apprehensions of the members of the family of deceased the CCTV footage should be released to the media by JKP immediately,” demanded the BJP man.
