JIGMET JANSPAL KHUNGRU LEH, JUL 12: The two-day Phyang Tse-dup festival concluded today with the burning of yearly “Storma” amid chanting prayer by monk which helps in dispelling the darkness to bring timely rainfall, unity, peace, prosperity and harmony in the society. On the concluding day, unlimited fanfare continued with monks performing traditional mask dances on various religious instruments with zeal and enthusiasm and devotees spent hours in long queues to get the glimpse of statues of Gods and Goddesses in the Phyang Gonpa. The sequence of mask dances continued as spectators and devotees witnessed the performances patiently. A number of stalls and shops were also installed where people purchased a variety of souvenirs and handicrafts. Later, the spectators and devotees dispersed with sweet memories of festival they cherish till next year.
