NPP will not allow Udhampur youth to become druggist: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, JUL 12: Expressing serious concern over rapic increase in menace of drug-addiction, JKNPP State President, Balwant Singh Mankotia reiterated that party will not allow youth to become druggist. He cautioned the youth to remain vigilant as forces inimical are trying to destroy the future of the country. While addressing a gathering at village Balli nallah of Udhampur, Mankotia disclosed that a team has been constituted with few NGOs to aware youth about bad impact of drugs. “I have also discussed the matter with the SSP Udhampur and he has assured full support to deal with drug menace,” he added. While extending condolence with bereaved family members of Anish, who died due to drugs, Mankotia urged parents to keep a vigil on their wards and inform Police without any fear, in case they find any drug peddler in their locality. NPP will take every necessary measure to deal with drug menace in the area and will not allow drug peddlers to make Udhampur another ‘Udta Punjab’, he assured.
