Vistara orders 19 planes worth $3.1 billion, charts out international route plans

NEW DELHI, Jul 11: Preparing to spread its wings in the domestic market and begin international flights, Vistara has placed firm orders for 13 Airbus A-320 Neo family and six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft worth $3.1 billion at list prices. In addition, the Tata Sons-Singapore Airlines JV – which currently has 21 A-320s and is yet to get one more from its previous order – will lease 37 additional A320 neo-family aircraft. In all, it will add 50 single aisles of A-320 Neo family – a mix of A-320 and A-321 – to its fleet.
