Farooq, Omar grieved at Bukhari’s killing

SRINAGAR: Srinagar, National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Friday expres-sed shock and profound grief over the assassination of Veteran Journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir, Shujaat Bukhari.
Terming the killing of Shujaat Bukhari as an assault on moderation, sanity and the very essence of democracy, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah sought a speedy probe into the killing and said the Government must ensure that the culprits are brought to justice as soon as possible.
Expressing solidarity with Bukhari’s family, Dr. Farooq Abdullah prayed for peace to the departed soul and extended his heartfelt condolences to them in their hour of mourning and grief.
National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah visited the residence of Shujaat Bukhari at Kreeri, Baramulla and expressed solidarity with his family.
He also participated in the Nimaz-e-Jinaza of Bukhari and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
