India lodges protest with Pak at Flag meet

Jammu: Hours after four BSF personnel were martyred including three officers, India on Wednesday lodged protest with the Pakistan at a flag meet held along international border at Octroi Border outpost in Suchetgarh sector here.
“A sector level flag meeting was held on Wednesday evening between own BSF and Pak rangers at Zero Line of Octroi BOP of Suchetgarh sector,” official sources here said.
They said that from BSF side DIG Frontier Headquarters P S Dhiman and eight other officials participated and from Pak side Brigadier Mohd Amjad Hussain and six other officials participated in the meeting.
“During the meeting BSF registered strong resentment over the issue of unprovoked ceasefire violation and killing of four BSF soldiers at Chambliyal BoP in sector Samba,” sources added.
Sources added that the BSF officer strongly condemned the cowardly act of snipping at BOP Chambliyal in Sector Samba on Tuesday night and added, “BSF will not tolerated this type of coward act in future.”
Pak Rangers however, denied all the allegations and said that no snipping was held from their side but the Pak rangers only retaliated to the CFV of BSF.
“Both the border guarding forces denied the allegations framed on each other and later agreed to maintain peace and harmony on the border while the meeting ended peacefully,” sources added.
