LCC outplays BCC by 12 runs to enter semis

JAMMU, JUN 12: Laxmi Cricket Club (LCC) today qualified for semi-finals beating Bhatia Cricket Club (BCC) by 12 runs in the quarter-final of ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here.
Batting first, Laxmi set a target of 207 runs for loss of 9 wickets. Nipun Verma played fine innings of 68 runs, while Vicky and Bobby contributed 43 and 39 runs respectively. From Bhatia Club, Shivam claimed 3 wickets while Jaipaul and Ashwani shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Bhatia Club could not maintain the required run rate and exhausted their quota of 30 overs for 194 runs losing 8 wickets. Abhishek’s brilliant unbeaten innings of 87 were in vain and the side lost the game by 12 runs. Shivam contributed 24 runs. Kalvinder took 2 wickets from Laxmi Club while Aman, Rahul, Govind and Sameer shared apiece each.
For his superb innings of 87 (not-out), Abhishek was declared as the Man of the Match. Ashok Singh and Rahul were umpires while Saleem ur Rehman was the scorer.
