SFA launches Girls unit in Leh

LEH, MAY 17: In the first of its kind initiative in Leh, State Football Academy of J&K State Sports Council has launched its District Unit in Leh today for Girls Football Academy at NDS Ground Leh. About 40 Girl-players from the region were selected who would be groomed by professional panel of Coaches from State Football Academy.
Executive Councillor, Gyal P Wangyal, who is also a Member of JK State Sports Council, was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Nominated Councillor, Rinchen Lhamo was the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Rinchen Lhamo said that SFA can play a crucial role in providing good platform for growth and development of sports for girls in the region, so that they can exhibit their talent at higher levels. Local players require proper coaching to boost their hidden talent, added Lhamo.
Head Coach of State Football Academy, Javed also spoke on the occasion.
While addressing gathering, the Chief Guest said that launching of SFA girls unit is a good initiative for overall development of girls because sports is the key to physical fitness. He further said that girls are talented in every field but require proper coaching alongwith hard work for achieving success.
