Jammu Pradesh Party launched

JAMMU, MAY 17: ‘Jammu Pradesh Party’, a new political organisation was launched today with its office-bearers assuring to offer an option to the people of State ahead of upcoming Assembly elections. The party was floated here by its president Yash Pal Singh Manhas
“We have launched Jammu Pradesh Party to provide a platform to the people of Jammu to implement what they they think is good for the Jammu Region,” he said, adding that the leaders of the party were commoners. The party was framed to root out discrimination with Jammu region, shunting out of Rohingyas from the state, to keep check on corrupt administration, providing employment to educated unemployed, upliftment of tourism in Jammu region and fight for delimitation, said Yash Pal Singh Manhas, adding present political parties have maintained silence over discrimination.
The party would combat the communal politics in the state and would share its interest with “like-minded” social and voluntary organisations fighting for the same cause, Manhas said. “We will not be broker for proximity to power but only want to get back the opposition pace that have been surrendered by the main political rivals in their bid to capture power,” he said. He appealed the people to come and join the new party for the welfare of the Jammu region.
