Jammu, Apr 23: Ahead of crucial portfolio reshuffle post resignations tendered by the BJP ministers in Jammu and Kashmir, the leaders are likely to meet the party high command in the national capital tomorrow.
As per party insiders, the meeting which was scheduled to be held in Delhi on Monday with BJP national president Amit Shah and General Secretary Ram Madhav (in-charge J&K Affairs) could not take place but is scheduled for tomorrow.
“Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh on Sunday dashed to Delhi to attend the meeting in view of finalising the list of ministers to be inducted in PDP-BJP coalition government but due to occupied schedules of the top brass, the meeting was postponed,” sources added.
They further added that speculations are rife that four ministers may be inducted into the BJP’s fold after the important meeting.
Pertinent to mention here that BJP former ministers Choduhary Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga had already tendered their resignations, which were accepted by the Governor N N Vohra after the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti asked for it for their alleged participation in the rally organised by ‘Hindu Ekta Manch’ in Kathua Rape-Murder case.
Sources further said that names of MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia, BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma, MLA Doda Shakti Parihar, Speaker Kavinder Gupta, MLA Marh Sukhnandan Choudhary, MLA Samba Devendra Manyal, MLA Ram Nagar Ranbir Pathania and MLA Nowshera Ravendra Raina are round the corner.
“BJP has to induct three Cabinet ministers and one MoS to complete its tally in the Mehbooba headed coalition government,” sources added.
They said that the newly inducted ministers may administer oath after Darbar Move, which is closing here on April 27 and scheduled to reopen in Srinagar on May 7.
Meanwhile Mehbooba Mufti will chair the cabinet meeting before Darbar move here tomorrow at 1100 hours at the Civil Secretariat.
