Bhagat Mahasabha celebrates Dr Ambedkar’s birthday

JAMMU, APR 15: Bhagat Mahasabha celebrated 127th birthday of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar at Muthi.
In a function organized here, Bhusan Dogra, Vice Chairman SC Advisory Board was chief guest while Prof Raj Kumar Bhagat, National president Bhagat Mahasabha was guest of honour. Representatives from different social organizations were present on the occasion. Floral tributes were paid to the Dr Ambedkar.
In his address, Prof Raj Kumar Bhagat threw light on the contribution of Dr Ambedkar for the people belonging to down trodden and deprived sections of the society.
Er Pawan Bhagat, Chairman J&K Bhagat Mahasabha appealed the people to work for the welfare of community.
Mahinder Bhagat expressed concern over the abrupt rise in the atrocities on the SC people in the present regime.
Bodh Raj Bhagat, National vice president said best way of remembering B R Ambedkar is to work towards realization of his dream of a society where every segment of population enjoy equal opportunities of progress and development.
Tarsem Bhagat spoke about the sacrifice made by Saheed Bhagat Amarnath without whom, efforts made by Ambedkar for reservation were going waste in J&K.
All the members present unanimously condemned the Rasana village rape incident and appealed the government to not to spare the culprits involved.
Prominent among others present included Jai Bhagat, Darshan Lal Bhagat, Vivek Bhagat, Sanesh Bhagat, Sansar Chand Bhagat, Susheel Bhagat, Tilak Raj Bhagat and Jagdish Raj Bhagat.
