Wish nation’s daughter gets justice through CBI probe: Ganga

JAMMU: BJP MLA Chander Prakash Ganga, who resigned as minister, on Saturday wished that nation’s daughter, Asifa Bano, get justice but through the probe conducted by the Central Bureau Investigation team in Kathua rape and murder case.
“I wish that the girl gets justice but now through CBI,” Ganga here told reporters at his official residence after resigning from the ministry.
He said that the daughter of the country was raped and a wrong perception was created by some vested interests.
“Some people created a perception that I and Choudhary Lal Singh, had gone to village Rassana to support the rape accused,” he added.
He however, cleared that he never supported the protesting people but instead said that the culprits will be punished as per the law.
“It is very unfortunate that the case was politicised,” said Ganga and added that the Congress tarnished the image of the Prime Minister by giving wrong perception to the people across the country.
“We preferred to resign in such circumstances,” said the BJP MLA from Vijaypur Constituency and added he was the first, who demanded CBI probe into the episode but the Chief Minister preferred the Crime Branch.
