Omar ups ante at Mehbooba

Srinagar: Upping the ante at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti over the reports that she expressed displeasure about two BJP ministers siding with rape accused in Asifa case with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National Conference (NC) working president Omar Abdullah said the way for her to “express her displeasure” is to sack them in Jammu not come and leak her alleged displeasure in Delhi.
“Why? They aren’t his ministers, they are @MehboobaMufti’s ministers. The power to sack them rests with her, a simple letter to HE Gov is all it takes,” Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
“What rubbish! They are HER ministers, not the Hon PM’s. The way for her to “express her displeasure” is to sack them in Jammu not come & leak her alleged displeasure in Delhi,” he added.
Meanwhile, lashing out at people, including BJP Minister, seeking the Asifa rape and murder case to be transferred from Crime Branch of state police to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Abdullah said J&K police is fine for them so long as the personnel are falling to militants bullets and getting injured in stone pelting but when it comes to investigating a wicked rape/murder suddenly they can’t be trusted.
Abdullah was reacting to a tweet which read, “The BJP Jammu spokesperson tells me they have no faith in J and K police crime branch investigation in Kathua rape; but isn’t the BJP in power in J and K and doesn’t police report to state govt. or is there one govt in Srinagar, and another in Jammu? #JusticeforAsifa.”
