J&K Govt appoints ADCs for three Sub-Divisions of Rajouri district

GJ Report
Jammu, Mar 23: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday ordered appointment of three Additional Deputy Commissioners for three Sub-Divisions of Rajouri district for which the locals were agitating for the past more than one month.
As per the Government Order N0.499-GAD of 2018, Dated:23.03.2018, the government has upgraded the Sub-District Magistrates to the Additional Deputy Commissioners.
The order read that in the interest of administration and in partial modification of Government Order No. 412-GAD of 2018 dated 09.03.2018, sanction is hereby accorded to the up-gradation of the following posts of Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote as Additional Deputy Commissioners with immediate effect.
“The present incumbents holding the posts of Sub-Divisional Magistrates at these places, shall hold the charge of the posts of Additional Deputy Commissioners, Nowshera, Kalakote and Sunderbani respectively till regular arrangements are made,” it read.
Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir Health Minister Bali Bhagat when contacted said, “I had a one to one meeting for around 30 minutes with the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday and after threadbare discussions, it was agreed to appoint ADCs in these belts.”
He said that it was the genuine demand of the residents of these areas in Rajouri district.
Pertinent to mention here that the protests sparked after the government exclusively appointed ADC in Kotranka tehsil of Rajouri.
Meanwhile sources said that the Nowshera residents have rejected the appointments demanding appointment of ADDC in place of ADC.
