Jammu, Mar 21: A fresh spell of rainfall on Wednesday dipped the maximum temperature by five to six degrees in this winter capital of the state.
“A spell of rain, which is still continuing, has brought down the maximum temperature by 5 to 6 degrees in the winter capital and across the region on Wednesday,” a weatherman here said.
He said that the inclement weather conditions will continue for couple of days thus further dipping the maximum and minimum temperature.
Meanwhile on Wednesday maximum temperature was recorded 23.0 degree Celsius and the minimum was 16.5 degree Celsius.
The maximum temperature in the past one-week was recorded between 28 to 31 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy sky for Thursday while the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 24 0 C and 14°C respectively in Jammu region.
However, in Srinagar, sky will be partly cloudy and the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 18°C and Six degrees respectively.
The warm clothes came out on Thursday, which were almost packed by the people of Jammu in view of soaring mercury.
However, rainfall was also recorded in Poonch, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Doda, which affected the normal life.
