Cabinet approves transfer of forest land

JAMMU: The Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today approved transfer of around 93 hectares of forest land in various parts of the State for undertaking developmental activities in the road, hydro power, transmission, solid waste management, sports and drinking water sectors.
The transfer of forest land has been approved in pursuance to the recommendations of the 103rd and 104th Forest Advisory Committee (FAC) meetings held on 08-01-2018 and 21-012-2018 respectively under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary.
Meanwhile the Cabinet also accorded sanction to the creation of three posts in the Super Time Scale of J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service in the pay band of Rs 37,400-67,000 with GP of Rs 10,000, taking the number of posts in the Special Scale and Super Time Scale of the service to 38 and 7 respectively.
