Jammu, Mar 16: BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav on Friday said that sacking of Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu is absolutely internal matter of Peoples Democratic Party and also ensured that his party, which is in alliance with the PDP, will surely fulfil the promises made to the people of Jammu.
“The meeting was convened to review the party functioning as PDP-BJP Government will be completing its three years next month,” Madhav told reporters here on Friday evening.
He said, “we reviewed mid-term of the coalition partners and as per our reports good work has been done in the past three years.”
Madhav however, said that a report has also been submitted by the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh to the Centre, adding, “there are many expectations from the BJP government by the people of Jammu and we will surely fulfil them.”
He however, said that issues like appointment of ADCs in Rajouri areas and handing over of Asifa murder case to the CBI will also be discussed with the coalition partner.
On sacking of Finance Minister Dr Haseen Drabu, he said, “it is totally an internal matter of PDP and we did not have any discussion on the issue with them.”
On AIIMs issue, he said that it got delayed due to some constraints but it will soon take off.
“Apart, many developmental programmes and projects took place in the past three years in the state and the report has already been submitted,” he added.
Earlier on his arrival in the afternoon, Madhav met the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and also chaired party cadre’s meeting.
As per party sources, Madhav soon after his arrival here on Friday afternoon called on the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at her residence.
“The BJP stalwart, who played a key role in the formation of PDP-BJP alliance government, reached here in view of prevailing tense situation between the government partners,” they said.
Sources however, said that Madhav late in the evening held a meeting with the party cadre and reviewed the functioning of the PDP-BJP Government in the state, adding, “he discussed the ouster of Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu from the cabinet, Rohingyas issue, Asifa case, ADC appointment in bordering areas of Rajouri district and present political scenario.”
They said that Madhav on Saturday will also meet the BJP activists and leaders to know their viewpoint on BJP working in the state.
Meanwhile Mufti also dashed to the Valley on Friday evening and will chair a party meeting tomorrow, sources added.
