Ganga inaugurates mega job-fair at Samba

SAMBA, MAR 12: Minister of Commerce & Industries, Chander Prakash Ganga today inaugurated a mega job fair organized by District Employment and Counseling Centre, Samba under National Career Service Programme of Union Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Deputy Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda; SSP Samba, Anil Magotra; Asstt Director DECC Samba, Naresh Kumar and a large number of youth were present on the occasion.
The Minister inspected various stalls set up by various companies during the event and inquired about schemes being provided by the companies for unemployed youth of the District.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister accentuated that educated youth should come forward and take benefits of the schemes and programmes. He sought cooperation of stakeholders to make the event successful in the larger interest of unemployed youth of the district. He said that more than 200 youth would be selected to get a job opportunity through this job fair. Reiterating Government’s commitment to promote industrial sector in the state, the Minister said that several new industrial units are coming up in the State.
Earlier, the Minister addressed a public meeting at village Birpur District Samba where a large number of people from different sections of the society apprised him of their problems and grievances.
People apprised him about issues like road connectivity, lane and drain, unscheduled power-cuts, non-availability of drinking water and many more alike. The Minister gave a patient hearing to the grievances of the people and assured that genuine issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action. He also issued on the spot directions to concerned officers for redressal of genuine demands of people.
While speaking on this occasion, the Minister said that Government has provided a platform to the people for direct interaction with its Ministers, so the woes of locals are raised at highest level and mitigated. He added that social and economic upliftment of weaker sections, downtrodden, women, youth and farmer is on prime agenda of the Government. The Minister said that the Government has laid full focus on development of infrastructure and providing better civic amenities to the people of the State.
