RCC defeats NCC by eleven runs

VIJAYPUR, MAR 11: Ramgarh Cricket Club (RCC) thrashed Nagrota Cricket Club (NCC) by 11 runs at Smailpur Cricket Stadium, here today.
After winning toss, RCC elected to bat first and set a target of 155 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Shubham scored highest 55 runs off 36 balls while Vicky scored 37 runs off 31 balls.
For Nagrota Cricket Club, Sahil, Madan, Rajinder and Jatinder took two wickets each. Deep and Rahul also took one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Nagrota Cricket Club was all out on 143 runs and thus lost the match by 11 runs. Kaka scored highest 41 runs in 19 balls while Vikas scored 24 runs in 21 balls.
From Ramgarh Cricket Club, Rahul, Mannu, Sandeep and Amu shared two wickets each. Vicky also took one wicket. Shubham was declared man of the match as well as man of the series for his all round performance during the tournament.
Former minister and senior State vice president National Conference, Surjeet Singh Slathia, who was the chief guest, presented trophies to winner and runners-up teams. He also presented awards to the players for their distinction in various disciplines of the game.
Congratulating the teams, Slathia said that victory and defeat were part of the game and this should be taken in true sportsman ship spirit. He said both the teams played well and made the final thrilling and interesting till the last ball was bowled.
The tournament was organized by Dr Ravi Gupta, Rajveer Singh, Dilawar Singh, Rajesh Chalotra, Sunny Gupta and Rishu Singh.
