JAMMU, FEB 25: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today attended a public grievance redress camp at R S Pura, during which the Minister listened to the grievances and concerns of locals. The Minister issued on the spot gave directions to concerned officers regarding redressal of various public important issues raised by visiting deputations.
While interacting with people, the Minister said that steps are being taken to upgrade transformers and repairing old-ones, wherever required. People hailing from Suchetgarh Constituency apprised the Minister about various problems being faced by them related to power supply, road connectivity, education, healthcare, sanitation and ration distribution.
The villagers also demanded upgradation of transformers, replacement of electric poles, LT and HT wires, blacktopping of roads and construction of lanes and drains.
The Minister gave all the deputations a patient hearing and assured them all that their genuine concerns and demands will be addressed on priority. The Minister urged the people to extend support in strengthening the developmental initiatives of administration. He further said that the Government is taking various path-breaking steps for empowerment of poor, youth, women, senior citizens and downtrodden sections of the society. He asked people to come forward and take advantage of facilities being provided by the Government for welfare of people.
