State Kho-Kho Championship gets underway

JAMMU, FEB 24: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Kho-Kho Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council and supported by Ranjeet College of Education, the State Junior (boys and girls) Championship got underway at Green Fields ground, here today.
The post lunch session of the event could not be completed due to rains. Earlier, the event was declared open by president of the Association, Manmeet Singh and vice president Kho Kho Federation of India, Viresh Yadav. Others present were Kuldeep Gupta BS Tirthi and MS Baba.
Meanwhile, the Association also conducted All India Kho-Kho Referee course examination at the same venue under the supervision of Sumit Bhatia (Member KKFI Referees Board and Nationals Coach).
The Results (League):
Boys: Jammu bt Anantnag by 1 inning and 16 pts; Srinagar bt Pulwama by one inning and 9 pts; Samba bt Kupwara by one pt; Baramulla bt Kathua by 7 pts. GIRLS: Srinagar bt Kulgam by 11 pts; Jammu bt Srinagar by 6 pts.
The opening day matches were officiated by the technical penal including Shubham Bhau, Sahil Dev, Rohit Sharma, Bhanu Priya, Shifali Rajput, Anil Kumar, Palbinder, Gagan, Amaninder, Sandeep Jamwal, Kanchan, Keshu, Pooja, Dheeraj Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Anil Sharma and Deepak.
