Mubarak Mandi Ropeway Project to be commissioned before July: Govt to HC

Jammu, Feb 23: It’s good news for tourism of J&K especially for the City of Temples Jammu that the Ropeway Project connecting Mubarak Mandi Complex to Bahu Fort shall be completed before July 2018. This was stated by Govt Advocate Ahtsham Bhat for the State before the Division Bench of State High Court in a Public Interest Litigation filed by Inderjeet Khajuria, President All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association Jammu espousing public causes including creation of Artificial Lake in River Tawi and Gondola Project from Mubarak Mandi to Bahu Fort. During the course of hearing the Division Bench after hearing Sr. Advocate BS Salathia with Advocate Bhanu Singh for the PIL, Deputy Advocate General RS Jamwal and Govt Advocate Ahtsham Bhat for the State observed that Govt Advocate Ahtsham Bhat has handed over a communication issued by Incharge Ropeway Project in which it has been indicated that the Rope Way project connecting Mubarak Mandi Complex to Bahu Fort shall be completed and commissioned in two phases/ sections, in so far as section 11 is concerned, the same is to be commissioned by the end of the April 2018 and section 1 shall be commissioned by or before July 2018.
