REASI, FEB 21: A Capacity Building Tour to Chandigarh, Delhi and Dehradun for school students from Kalakote and adjoining villages of Rajouri District, was flagged in a formal ceremony organised at Reasi based Force Headquarters. The 11 days tour included visit to historical and tourist places alongwith select educational institutions of repute in the three cities. The highlight of the tour was interaction of the students with the Chief of Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat on February 16, where he shared his experience and motivated them to work-hard and contribute actively towards nation building. He called upon the youth to join the Indian Armed Forces and serve the cause of the nation. He was overwhelmed with patriotic spirit exhibited by the students as they had proudly won tricolor ethnic attire. The students also interacted with the General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform), who exhorted them to make the best of this exposure and try to explore numerous avenues available for self employment. The students thanked the Army for organising such a monumental tour and mentioned that they will always cherish this experience. The Capacity building tour has made a forceful impact on the young minds and has instilled in them the patriotism spirit and zeal. The sensitivity and indulgence exhibited by the Army in providing these youth an opportunity to strive for a bright future was noteworthy. The successful completion of this tour has resulted in fostering closer relationship between the locals and the Army. It has also developed a deep sense of belongingness for the nation in the hearts of these students of remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
