JAMMU, FEB 14: Cultural extravaganza displayed by tiny tots of Daffodils Care Convent Playway School Jain Bazar marked school’s 5th Annual Day function organized at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal was the chief guest while Manikarnika Bhasin (Founder Principal Mount Litera Zee School) was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp followed by recitation of Gaytri Mantra and Saraswati Vandhna. The theme of the Annual Day was ‘Maa-Paa’, an eternal bond of love. The Daffodilians presented a well weaved story through various dances, plays and skits of ‘Maa Paa’ in one’s life, especially for those children who are living in orphanages and are deprived of the love and warmth of their parents. A dance performance by the daughters, with their fathers brought tears in everybody’s eyes. The vibrant Giddha and Bhangra also enthralled the audiences. While addressing the gathering, Zorawar Singh Jamwal complimented the Principal, Staff members and students for putting a spectacular show. He also appreciated the efforts of the school in providing all round development. “The base of any child is laid and made by Pre-Schools and Daffodils Care Convent Playway is an example where a child not just seek education but also attains moral values. And parents too must not forget the missionary services of teachers of Pre-Schools,” said Zorawar Singh Jamwal.
“Teachers and parents must collectively inculcate nationalism among the tiny tots so that besides making their own career in years to come, they must also contribute towards nation building,” he said.
Earlier, Principal of the School, Shikha Puri presented annual report while MD, Renu Mahajan presented a welcome address. The programme was conducted by Akriti Gupta and Chairman Narinder Gupta presented vote of thanks.
