IPS Officers among several transferred, promoted

JAMMU: The government has ordered transfers and postings of several senior Police officers including IPS.
According an order issued by Home department, S K Mishra, Director General of Police, Prisons, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, J&K Police Housing Corporation while Dilbag Singh, Commandant General, Home Guards/CD/SDRF, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Director General of Police, Prisons.
Muneer Ahmad Khan, ADGP, holding the charge of the post of IGP Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as ADGP Home Guards and Security, against an available vacancy while Danesh Rana, Managing Director, J&K Police Housing Corporation, has been transferred and posted as IGP Armed, Jammu, vice Shafkat Ali Watali, who has been posted as IGP Armed, Kashmir.
Jagjit Kumar, IGP, Traffic, J&K, has been transferred and posted as IGP Tech, relieving Ashkoor Ahmad Wani, IGP CIV, PHQ of the additional charge of the post while Ahfadul Mujtaba, IGP Armed, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as IGP Crime, J&K. He shall, however, assume the charge of the post upon retirement on superannuation of Alok Puri, on 28th of February, 2018.
S P Pani, upon his promotion as IGP, has been posted as IGP Kashmir, relieving Muneer Ahmad Khan of the charge of the post.
Basant Kumar Rath, upon his promotion as IGP, has been posted as IGP Traffic, J&K while Vidhi Kumar Virdi, DIG, NKR, Baramulla, has been transferred and posted as DIG, CKR, Srinagar. He shall, however, assume the charge of the post upon retirement on superannuation of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, on February 28.
Amit Kumar, SSP CID (SB) Jammu, has been transferred and posted as I/C DIG, SKR, Anantnag, in his own pay and grade, upon promotion of the present incumbent while Sunil Gupta, SSP CID (CI) Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as I/C DIG, NKR, Baramulla, in his own pay and grade.
The government also ordered temporary up-gradation of one post of Senior Superintendent of Police, Police Transport Workshop in the Pay Band of Rs15600-39100 +GP Rs 7600 held by Mohammad Amin Tak, to the Pay Band of Rs 37400-67000 + GP Rs 8700 in his personal capacity. The said post shall revert back to original/existing scale of pay on vacation of the post by the officer, for whatever reasons.
The government also ordered promotion of IPS officers of 2014 batch to the Senior Time Scale of IPS, PB 3 Rs 15,600-39,100 +Grade Pay Rs 6600/- wef 01.01.2018. The officers included Amritpal Singh, Dr G V Sundeep Chakravarthy.
The government also ordered placement of IPS officers of 2005 batch in the Selection Grade of IPS (Pay Band-4: Rs 37,400-67,000 with Grade pay of Rs.8700) wef 01.01.2018. The officers included Rafeequl Hassan and Vijay Kumar.
The government also accorded promotion of Deepak Kumar Salathia, to the Super Time Scale-DIG (Pay Band-4: Rs 37,400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs 8900) wef 01.01.2018.
