Azad, Ambika Soni to attend Congress Convention in Jammu on Feb 11

GJ Report Jammu, Feb 5: Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad alongwith In-charge J&K Affairs Ambika Soni will attend a day long party convention here on February 11. “Mega District Convention is scheduled for Feb 11 at Dushera Ground Gandhi Nagar in which Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad and AICC General Secretary incharge J&K affairs Ambika Soni would participate,” said Ghulam Ahmad Mir, President, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee. He however, asked the leaders and workers of Jammu District to make it a grand success in order to send a message about the failure strategy and policies and programmes of the party. Chairing a party meeting, Mir and other members expressed shock over casualty of four army jawans including a Captain and injuries to four others in the heavy shelling by Pakistan in Rajouri sector. The meeting expressed grave concern over the border situation leading to heavy casualties of Jawans and civilians during recent years in continued shelling. The members lashed out at Pakistan for its provocative and mischievous actions. The meeting also criticized Modi Govt. for its total failure to deal with situation on borders with Pakistan. Mir said that the continued ceasefire violations and escalated tension on borders is cause of great concern and failure of Modi Govt. which had been claiming isolation of Pakistan internationally. “The Modi Govt should explain its failures on this front and take more effective measures to control the prevailing situation and to prevent the loss of precious lives of our jawans and civilians,” he said.
